This blog has been on my list of things to do for a very, very long time.
I live in Heidelberg. I have for 2 years now. One of the greatest things about living here is the opportunity I have to travel Europe with my family. On the flip side, one of the greatest challenges I face here is planning trips in Europe that are affordable and family friendly. I’m hoping that those of you around me will be willing to share tips about places you have visited; names of great places to stay, experiences that must not be missed, experiences that should definitely be skipped, ideas on how to save money and thoughts on what makes or breaks a trip for you and your family. I’d like to categorize blog entries by location. Hopefully we’ll get enough entries that a visitor to the blog can click on a Paris link, for instance, and get several entries from different contributors.
Travelling Europe is a joy to me, however, I know that for many people it can be intimidating. My hope is that this blog will help those of you who are new to travelling in Europe (as well as those of us who’ve been around for awhile) get inspired to get out and get going! Aufwiedersehen!
